What are the differences between micellar water and make- up remover?
They have similar function which is to remove make- up, but micellar water and make- up remover have different benefits for the skin. The make- up remover contains oil which makes it easier to remove thick and waterproof makeup. The oil content is only able to cleanse the outermost part of the skin, leaving dirt and make- up on the inner layer of the skin. Meanwhile, micellar water which contains micelles is more effective in removing make- up and dirt (sebum, sweat, desquamation) to the deep layers of the skin. Micellar water also has a lighter texture and does not give oily feels after usage, an after-effect you may find from using a make- up remover. There are special ingredients to moisturize and treat the skin. Making micellar water more suitable for daily use.
When do I need micellar water?
Micellar water can be used as needed. If you use thick make up daily, it is advisable to use a make- up remover first to remove make- up. Further cleanse with micellar water to remove make-up debris, dirt & pollution in the deeper skin layers. If you use light make up daily or not using any, you can immediately use micellar water after washing your face to remove pollution, sweat and sebum on the skin.
